Really smart move that MS is using the event on the 21st to talk about the hardware side of the Next box and showing world premiers and teasers and using E3 to talk more about software and the tonnes of exclusives. I expect great things and more constant trolling from PS fanboys, like they are doing in this article. Gotta go stock up on more SDF repellent in the upcoming weeks, lord knows I'll be needing it.
1. Wii
2. Wii U (the sequel)
3. Wii Out (Completion of trilogy)
Wii U vs VITA, the battle for the 6th place ribbon. This month winner is Wii U by a landslide (33,000 - 20,000). Congrat to Nintendo.
That is why the Next Xbox will win the war, it has Porn on its side.
And a microwave oven is designed to 'To Enable Great Frozen Pizza cooking Experiences'.
Common man, isn't that what all game consoles are all about? These headlines are getting more and more outrages!
Angry bird?? The irony is that even Sony is acknowledging what is popular in portable gaming when they are willing to go make a movie based on a competing game for smartphones rather than make a movie based on one of its own PS VITA franchise. This spells trouble for the long term survival of the VITA, I am afraid.
"The recent appointment of former Cryptic Studios CEO John Needham as studio boss suggests that the new game may be a free-to-play MMO."
I like the idea of a Fable MMO as an always-on line, breathing and living world where events can occur in real time while you are away from your xbox. I think this has the potential of what the original Fable on Xbox was aiming for and more. Can't wait for an announcement, possibly in a week.
Got mine preordered already. Can't wait for this game!
People, freaking MS spent over 8 billion and bought Skype!! How else can skype be advertised as a console exclusive without a camera included in every Xbox? That is like having Apple advertising Facetime on an iPad without a camera included on every iPad sold. Since Skyp won't be available on PS4, the eyetoy camera is not needed on the PS4.
Looks good, imagine what GTA6 would've look like if a PS4 version built-from-the-ground-up on PS4 hardware existed.
"tv apps, music apps, social apps, game apps, Xbox TV with original programming, BC compatibility, Skype, Kinect 2.0, new xbox live arcade exclusives, Respawn exclusive IP, Forza 5, Alan Wake 2, Ryse, Epic games, Rare, Liohead, 353 Industries, Black Tusk, EA exclusive partnership, COD Ghost and exclusive announcement, cable box, new Live Dashboard interface, integration with all Windows 8 devices, cross-platform play with PC and xbox 360, cloud gaming, SHOWING THE ACTUAL CONSOLE, reveali...
@darth,
ain't going to happen. because the cell=/=x86. PCs can make that possible because they are all x86 compatible. That is why it will take Sony longer to port the PS3 version of GT6 over to the PS4 due to system incompatibility, even when both uses Blu-ray. That is also one of the main reasons why there is no BC of PS3 games on PS4. Unfortunate really, as I would love to see that happen.
The X720 is also based on X86 architecture which is also diffe...
@Jagga,
This is about NPD, and NPD is about American sales so I can care less if PS3 is outselling the X360 in Japan or in your case, France. Please, the only time VGchartz are of any significant or gets any degree of comments on N4G are articles about about their weekly Japan sales chart or the monthly World-wide sales. I wonder why??? The truth of the matter is the xbox made a name for itself in this current generation going from 25 millions unit sold of the xbox to over 77 mi...
BC means that the games you currently have can still be relevant well into next generation. For example, when MS have their BC emulation for most of games from the original xbox, Halo 2 online play was still played by a large community for the longest. Think of the new age of DLCs and season pass. What if GTA5 releases two expansions like what they did a year and two after the release of GTA4? In a year or two later, isn't it better knowing these expansions can be played on Next Gen hardw...
No doubt, BC will make current Xbox 360 owners feel like the investment they made with their games will be well worth it because new contents, online play, achievements, will all be tied to a singe user tag even when migrating to a new hardware and that is a HUGE factor and shows MS care about their existing fanbase.
Agree, an empty race track with 2 freaking cars and looks exactly same thing as GT5?? How any Sony fanboys can get excited about this is beyond me. Sure it has tons of new cars, like how many version of Nissan Skyline do we need?, a few extra tracks but Sony could've easily just make this a DLC add on for GT5 instead of asking a full $60 it and spend that extra R&D money for GT7 on PS4 instead.
5/21/13, the day the next gen highly acclaimed sim console racer will be r...
Turn-10 is scheduled to show a new game on 5/21, I think Sony initially knew that Forza will be reveled so the GT6 announcement is just a way to try to get ahead of MS; unfortunately, it is not for PS4 as most people were hoping.
Lol at DayZ.
If that helps you sleep better at night, then so be it. Over 300 original Xbox games were Playable on the X360 and Halo 2 was playable online on x360 and it's community was still thriving years after the the release of the x360. Second, speaking of barren wasteland, have you check out Killzone 3 or Uncharted 3 online server lately? Also, with the Next Xbox being BC with the 360, the server for Halo 4, all COD , Gears, and every other games with online multipl...
Looks just like GT5. When will people learn that having 1 vehicle showing off replay mode will result in the game looking better than the actual game when physics, AI, and other cars are also on display and calculated by the CPU. This not only applies to GT6 but for virtually every other current gen console racing games.
This is deja vu all over again. I bet you it is either FF Versus coming to the new xbox or better yet, Kingdom Heart exclusive for the new xbox.
This is how the reaction will be http://www.youtube.com/watc...
